Treatment from the patient perspective

MPW Dentistry was established by Dr Michael Walker to be a centre of dental excellence for Intravenous Sedation and General Anaesthesia. He understood many years ago when starting his career that many people were simply unable to contemplate dental treatment of any kind because of overriding fear. There was no blame for this; it was just the way it was for many, many people. His reaction was an undertaking to provide treatment for worried patients on their own terms – which meant sedation or General Anaesthesia. To that end Michael Walker undertook studies through the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology in Pain and Anxiety Control which gave him the credentials to administer Intravenous Sedation.

Dr Walker and the team keep up to date with the most recent advancements to enable them to be at the forefront of modern dentistry. All the staff are committed to continual education and technological advancements. Such advancements include, for example: digital x-rays, digital intra oral cameras, advanced computing technology, highest standards of infection control and the latest in dental technology and techniques and more.
